2 pounds of ground meat
1 teaspoon garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
1 lb. brick mozarella cheese
jar of picante sauce
2 cans of Campbells Golden Mushroom Soup
large bag of fritos (any style)
paprika

Frito Pie


Fry the meat in a heavy skillet until done. Drain off grease and add the picante sauce. Simmer for about 5 minutes, and add the mushroom soup, adding half a can of water. (This will give you enough water to cleant residue out of the cans). Simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes while placing the fritos in the bottom of a 9 X 12 baking pan. Grate the cheese, and sprinkle a layer of cheese on top of the fritos. Add the meat mixture on top of the cheese and fritos, and add the rest of the cheese. Sprinkle with paprika and place under the broiler for a few minutes until the cheese is bubbling.
