Ingredients
2 lbs ground beef
1 lb sausage
2 large eggs
2 medium bell peppers
1 medium yellow onion
½ cup bbq sauce
¼ cup ketchup
2 tsp garlic & pepper salt
1 tsp salt
2 tsp oregano
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon basil leaves
1½ cups Italian Bread Crumbs




Bacon Wrapped Meat Loaf


Cook the sausage over low heat and drain on paper towels

Using food processor or knife, mince the onion and bell peppers very fine and add them to a mixing bowl.

Add the two eggs, the ½ cup bbq sauce, ¼ cup ketchup, 2 tsp garlic & pepper salt, 1 tsp salt, 2 tsp oregano, 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning, 1 tablespoon basil leaves, and 1½ cups Italian Bread Crumbs and mix well.

Add the ground beef and mix well.

Add the sausage and mix well.

Cover a wire rack with foil; prick foil in several places with a fork. Place the rack on a roasting pan lined with foil and 4 or 5 cups of water for easy cleanup.

Place the meat mixture on the wire rack and shape into a loaf. Cover loaf with the 12 oz pkg of bacon and bake covered with foil at 350 1 to 1½ hours until internal temp of meat is 160 to 170. Remove foil covering and bake for another 15 minutes at 425. Let rest for 20 minutes.
